What sets our approach apart

Preparation before departure

We take time to understand your product, your organisation and the destination before suggesting next steps. Hasty entry plans cost more to unwind than they save upfront.

Scope-defined engagements

Every service has a clear scope, a stated deliverable and a fixed duration. You know from the start what you are getting and when it will be ready.

Ownership stays with your team

We advise and frame; your leadership decides and acts. Plans built this way tend to survive contact with reality better than those handed over from outside.

Specialist coordination

Where customs, legal or financial matters arise, we help you identify and engage the right qualified specialists rather than working past the boundary of our competence.

Documented, shareable outputs

Every engagement produces written materials your team can use, share internally, or revisit later. Nothing is left as a verbal understanding.

Malaysia-based perspective

Operating from George Town, Penang, we understand the context Malaysian firms bring to cross-border work — relationships, regulation, language and commercial norms included.

Ready when you are

Is your business ready to look outward?

A short conversation is often enough to clarify whether an engagement makes sense and which service fits your situation. There is no pressure to proceed beyond that.

Common Questions

Things people ask before they start

What does an export readiness review actually look at?
We look at your product or service offering, your target market, the channels available to reach buyers there, and the operational steps your business would need to take. We draw on public trade data, category information and your own records. The output is a written summary of where you are ready and where gaps exist, together with a set of sensible next steps.
Do you handle customs clearance or trade finance directly?
No. Customs, import licensing, trade finance and legal structuring require qualified specialists. Where those matters arise in our work, we help you understand what is needed and identify suitable professionals. Our role is advisory and operational planning — we keep clearly within that boundary.
How long does it take before we get something tangible?
The Export Readiness Review runs two to three weeks and delivers a written readiness summary, a market note and a review session. The Market Entry & Operations Plan runs four to six weeks and delivers an entry plan, an operations outline and a leadership workshop. Timings assume reasonable access to information from your side.
What size of business do you typically work with?
Most of our clients are small and mid-sized Malaysian firms — typically with an established domestic presence — considering their first or next overseas market. We also work with larger organisations that want an outside perspective on a specific entry question.
What happens after the plan is delivered?
Your team owns the plan and proceeds at its own pace. Some clients move into a Trade Advisory Retainer to maintain continuity through implementation. Others take the plan and work with it independently. Either path is fine — there is no pressure toward further engagement.
How are fees structured?
The Export Readiness Review is RM 670 as a fixed-scope engagement. The Market Entry & Operations Plan is RM 3,350 fixed-scope. The Trade Advisory Retainer is RM 4,700 per month. All amounts are in Malaysian Ringgit. We discuss payment terms during the initial conversation.
